සිහිල් සුළන් රැල්ලක්,
ගත දැවටෙද්දි;
ගත පුබුදුවන සීතලක්,
සිත තුල නැලවෙද්දි;
දැනෙන්නෙ
'තනිකමකි'
ජීවිතය කටු ගෑ
'දුකකි'...

කාලය...

සිතේ කව් ගී
ලිව්වෙ පද බැද,
ඔබෙන් මා දුටු සිහිනයි.
එහෙත් ලොකයෙ,
ගෙවෙන කාලය.
